Life can be demanding, but Paul is here to offer his expertise and resources to help you manage your time and with the needs of your dog!
Pre-Obedience Training
This is a critical time in your dog's life. Your pup will believe that you are more important than the training equipment!Establishing proper rank structure, socialization techniques, and preventing unwanted behaviors are accomplished. This phase is included, if applicable, in all obedience programs.Puppies between 7 and 16 weeks of age can learn simple directions through association (classical conditioning) without leashes or harsh training collars.
Obedience Training
All obedience programs require owner participation - YOU will learn how to train your dog! "Positive Reinforcement" methods are used; chain collars are discouraged! Your dog will learn to walk on a leash without pulling, sit automatically, stay for usable lengths of time and learn boundary adherence in and around your property.Basic (on leash) and Advanced (off leash) lessons, separately or together, are available. Each lesson lasts approximately one hour and is scheduled.Adolescent, adult and senior dogs are eligible, and each obedience program is tailored to you and your dog's specific needs.
Behavior Modification
Unwanted behavior is really a symptom of disobedience or lack of enough leadership offered by you to your dog.In addition, too much attention can be given to the behavior problem, convincing your dog that it's the best way to get attention! Each problem is addressed completely, so as to determine the cause, such as:• House soiling.
• Destructive chewing.
• Digging.
• Chasing people and/or cars.
• Jumping up.
• Over barking.
• Aggression towards people and/or dogs.
• Biting.
• Not coming when called.
Why should you train your dog?
Dog training can be a valuable investment that can lead to a happier and healthier life for both the you and your furry companion.
Your dog will build better communication and become more confident and predictable!
